The Goals of Misbehavior
Identifying the goals of a child’s misbehavior is a necessary first step in successfully managing those misbehaviors. This program is designed to help participants distinguish between first time behaviors and recurring, purposeful ones. The goals of this session are to help the participants understand why misbehaviors occur, distinguish between the various goals of misbehavior (attention, power, etc.), determine each goal by using three identification techniques, explore the elements used in power struggles and how we can effect changes in those situations.
